Memory Support
In the United States, someone develops Alzheimer’s disease every 72 seconds. In Colorado there are more than 64,000 people living with a diagnosis of the disease, and several thousand more who have not yet received the diagnosis. The Alzheimer’s Association reports that Colorado is one of six western states that will double in the number of Alzheimer’s cases by 2020.
Christian Living Communities lovingly cares for seniors living with this cruel disease, while educating and supporting loved ones. Your generous contributions will make it possible to bring more programming directed at helping those suffering Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Funds will be used to purchase computer programs and equipment that are clinically proven to help the memory impaired, and to sponsor employee certification training in the Alzheimer’s Association Learning Institute, giving them the necessary tools to provide practical, how-to approaches that are so critical to quality dementia care.
Please make your contribution to provide the best care available to those who bravely face this debilitating disease.
....Jacques, in the six months since your passing, I've come to realize just how important memory support care and services are - I depended on them. There are so many couples and families coping with Alzheimer's disease.... this disease knows no boundaries. The people here understand and are doing everything they can to help those in need of support.

Memorial Gifts/Honorariums - We accept donations in memory and honor of a loved one or a special friend. These types of gifts can be restricted to a certain community or program or can be left unrestricted. If gifts reach $1,000 we place the name of the person being memorialized on a permanent plaque at their specific community of residence.
Residents Assistance - Historically, contributions to this fund have allowed residents to stay at Christian Living Communities if, through no fault of their own, they outlive their financial means. Last year, we subsidized nearly $1,000,000 in this type of benevolent care. We accept donations to help support those people who find themselves struggling to afford the services they need and deserve. We also plan to offer family scholarships for services such as Home Care and Adult Day Services.
Enrichment - We have developed a program by which you can give directly to a specific community to help them pay for facility enrichments such as new listening devices for residents, lobby improvements or new equipment. A general donation for enrichment would be applied to the effort most in need or closest to its goal. For example we will enlist this program to help us raise funds to renovate space at The Johnson Center to duplicate our Adult Day Services. We will also look to this program for the continuance of our Chaplain services.
Education Series - The care we offer our residents and clients is cutting edge and we are often looked upon as leaders in senior care. We feel it is our mission to share this expertise with others. Donations to our education series would allow us to provide seminars to the community at large on topics such as tips for choosing senior care, stroke awareness, fall prevention, wound care and signs of Alzheimer's. Donations to the education series may also help us provide more training for our faithful caregivers.
Planned Giving - We accept many forms of planned giving. A partnership with the Barnabas Foundation, a Christian-based estate planning service, allows us to offer you free of charge estate planning advice and options.
Depending on your circumstances, an estate planner can recommend everything from a simple will, to living trust, charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust and other alternatives.
